Drop-In Centre: Thursday 7th May; Healthy Relationships & Boundaries

Are you aged between 18-28 years old? Are you struggling with your mental health, addiction or suffer from suicide ideation? Then please pop into our drop-in centre at Whitburn Community Centre every Thursday from 7 pm – 9 pm for support.

Tonight at Jamie’s Sanctuary, we know that relationships can be one of the most meaningful – and sometimes most challenging parts of our lives. The way we connect with others often reflects our past experiences, our sense of self-worth, and how safe we feel in the world.

Tonights drop-in session will focus on healthy relationships and boundaries, offering a space to gently explore what this means in real, everyday life.

We will be looking at:

  • What makes a relationship feel safe, supportive and respectful
  • How to recognise when boundaries are being crossed
  • Why setting boundaries can feel difficult, especially if we are used to putting others first
  • How to begin expressing our needs in a healthy and confident way
  • The connection between boundaries, self-worth and emotional wellbeing

This is not about getting it “right” or having all the answers. It’s about learning, reflecting and growing at your own pace. Many of us were never taught what healthy relationships look like, and this space is here to support that understanding without judgement.

As always, Jamie’s Sanctuary provides a warm, welcoming and safe environment. You are free to share as much or as little as you feel comfortable with, listening is just as valuable as speaking.

Whether you are navigating difficult relationships, rebuilding after loss, or simply wanting to understand yourself better, you are welcome here.

Come along, have a cuppa, and take some time for yourself.

You are not alone—there is strength in numbers.

No need to book, just pop in. No cost required, fully-funded by Jamie’s Sanctuary.
