Kris and all the staff at Bridges Property in Whitburn, West Lothian are holding another ball this year to help raise funds for us at Jamie’s Sanctuary and everyone at Kick Mental Health. This year is BIGGER & BETTER!! We are both community groups who rely solely on funding from our local community. All funding goes straight back into the community to help the ongoing battle with mental health in all aspects. This is why events like this are fundamental to us.
After I lost my son, I came to the great realization that I am not in control of what happens in this world, and through my pain, decided to start this community group in the name of my son Jamie. Nothing I do will ever bring back my son, nothing, and that is a hard reality to face daily. Now I can choose to let it break me, allow the grief to keep me isolated, drink myself into the depths of darkness, avoid the reality of this and possibly make myself very sick, or, I can choose to keep moving forward, keep putting one foot in front of the other and look for the smallest of things to keep the gratitude in my heart. So this is why it is so important that everything that I do moving forward, might just save someone else’s life. Helping is healing. Jamie’s Sanctuary is my passion, and my purpose and I put so much time, love, and energy into it.
I will not give up the fight for people who don’t have the strength to fight for themselves. If you don’t have a voice, I will be that voice. Everyone at Jamie’s Sanctuary brings something unique and together we hope to combat some of the pain in this cruel but beautiful world.
So please help us along the way by joining us at the Bridges Charity Ball on Saturday 31st of August 2024 for a night full of entertainment. The evening will be hosted by Scotland’s Comedian Dee Maxwell. There will be live music and a DJ, 3 course meal, lots of raffle prizes, and spectacular prizes up for auction. Plus a 360-rotating photo booth to capture the memories. With a few extra surprises!!

Here’s what Kris at Bridges is saying about the event:
“I am delighted to announce that Bridges Properties will be hosting our 2nd Annual Charity Ball on the 31st of August at the Hilcroft Hotel. After the huge success of last year’s ball, we have decided to make it even bigger and better this year!
The event will raise much-needed awareness of the challenges we are currently facing with mental health in our community. We are losing far too many people, young and old. In 2024, people should not feel like this is something they can’t reach out and speak to someone about. As a small business with a big following in West Lothian, we are committed to continuing to raise awareness about mental health. I have personally experienced my fair share of mental health problems and lost my Dad to suicide in 2014, which severely affected my family and me, to say the very least. Now that I am in a bit of a better place, I would love to help as many people as I can, and Bridges is a great platform to do that. It’s heartening to see how much the team has all bought into this, and I truly appreciate all of the hard work they put into last year’s ball. I would like to take this opportunity to go on record and say that Bridges Properties have not, and will not, take a single penny from last year’s ball or any future events. This isn’t set up to benefit us as a business financially; it’s purely to help raise awareness and much-needed funds for local mental health charities.
We are supporting two amazing charities at this year’s ball – Jamie’s Sanctuary and Kick Mental Health. It’s an absolute privilege to help them again this year, and your donations will go a long way towards supporting these fantastic local mental health charities that help a lot of people in West Lothian.
We hope to see you all on the 31st of August for another great night!
Best Regards,
Kris Bridges”
