14 mile walk, West Highland Way

The Kilgallon family walked an incredible 14 miles to help raise funds for Jamie’s Sanctuary. Carrie-anne, her husband Don and her 2 children Scott and Demi (who is only 9 years old) all set off on Friday the 13th to climb Ben Nevis on the Saturday, but unfortunately due to unforeseen weather conditions at the summit, it was not safe for them to climb. But this family were still determined to do something in place of this. So they all set off to do walk part of the West Highland Way. They walked from Kinlochleven to the Ben Nevis visitor centre, 22km in total which is just short of 14 miles.

We would like to take this moment to thank Carrie-anne and her family for their continued dedication to Jamie’s Sanctuary as this is now 2 years running they have done this. The family raised around £450 and this money will help so much in the development of the sanctuary as we start to grow and branch out into other areas to help as many people as we possibly can.
