In 2023, Dougie and Barry from Man Clan embarked on their first official running events, starting with the Scottish 10k on September 24th and the MoRun half marathon for Movember on November 25th. Their journey didn’t stop there.
In 2024, they tackled even bigger challenges, including the Manchester Marathon in April and the grueling Glen Lyon 50km ultra in June. Their most remarkable feat came on August 24th at the Loch Ness 24-hour ultra. Dougie completed an incredible 13 laps, covering 94km, while Barry managed 15 laps, clocking 107km.
Their dedication wasn’t just for personal achievement. Through these events, Dougie and Barry raised an impressive £1,500 for Jamie’s Sanctuary, a cause close to their hearts. Their efforts stand as a testament to their commitment to both running and making a positive impact.
